Playstation Great, Sony Evil.
Let’s get this out of the way. The Media Center and that is what your getting is great. Bluray and the high-definition quality for movies are great, even if your using a regular tv set. Games are fun, but limited. 2008 will be the great step PS3 users have been waiting for. The possiblilty of using it as a DVR is also great. I’ve ripped my own DVDs and placed them inside the thing, so I can easily access it. Moding is acceptable and changing my 40g for a 250 g hard drive is excellent and simple.
Here is the problem. A lot of owners have falling into Sony’s evil crooked hands. Apparently, if dust is gathered into you newly, EXPENSIVE PS3 your warranty is done. You must use it in a dust free environment where dust doesn’t exist. If it gathers enough dust, Sony will not fix it unless you play another large amount of money to them. 1. They don’t have enough games to keep you satisfied. 2. Blurays are now $299.99 and some come in Bluray/HD combs, PS3 isn’t the cheapest Bluray in the market. And 3. your taking a leap of faith, when there are 2 other systems that can easily give you some more games. 360 willing to lose money to replace or fix your broken systen(which will happen) and the Wii just happen to be the only consoled out there that works well and works. If Sony is willing continue being jerks to their fan base, their consumers, their only friend in the video game industry, they will be the next Neo Geo, the next Turbographix, the next consoled left in the dust.

PS3 vs. XBOX 360
First off, i have both systems now. We all know that the 360 came out in 2005. The launch lineup was not the best but it still was way better than the PS3’s. The funny thing at one point i hated Microsoft and the XBOX 1, until i played Halo. That game showed what Microsoft was capable of. I have been a loyal fan since. The 2 biggest issues with the PS3 is the price and the titles that are out. There really isnt that much to choose from. I love Metal Gear Solid but there are so many exclusive titles on the 360 that you cant go wrong. The PS3 will never and i mean never have a game as big as Halo 3 or Ninja Gaiden 2 which comes out sometime next year. If Sony was smart they would have made the system at a base price of $400. Then they should have waited to release a blu-ray player add-on just like the 360 and their HD DVD player. That would have made more people eager to buy the system. Honestly, the HD DVD and Blu-Ray are identical if you ask me. The only big difference would be your TV. A lot of people say the graphics are so much better on the PS3 than the 360. Unfortunately, they are sadly mistaken. The 360 has found a way to utilize the core processors within the system. That means they can isolate things so the graphics run smoothly. The PS3 is said to be a little bit more complex. If you compare the same games on both systems, the 360 has the edge and its the truth. Like i said i have both so i can argue for both. Its a shame that the once exclusive titles like GTA 4, Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4 are going to be on the 360. I am sure Sony isnt too happy about that. Sony could find that Metal Gear Solid 4 is heading towards the 360. Hey, it did happen with MGS 3 and XBOX had a better polished version of the game. I truly believe it comes down to preference and which system you can stay with. I personally would recommend the 360. But if you have been a Sony fan since Metal Gear 1, go with the PS3.
