Playstation Great, Sony Evil.
Let’s get this out of the way. The Media Center and that is what your getting is great. Bluray and the high-definition quality for movies are great, even if your using a regular tv set. Games are fun, but limited. 2008 will be the great step PS3 users have been waiting for. The possiblilty of using it as a DVR is also great. I’ve ripped my own DVDs and placed them inside the thing, so I can easily access it. Moding is acceptable and changing my 40g for a 250 g hard drive is excellent and simple.
Here is the problem. A lot of owners have falling into Sony’s evil crooked hands. Apparently, if dust is gathered into you newly, EXPENSIVE PS3 your warranty is done. You must use it in a dust free environment where dust doesn’t exist. If it gathers enough dust, Sony will not fix it unless you play another large amount of money to them. 1. They don’t have enough games to keep you satisfied. 2. Blurays are now $299.99 and some come in Bluray/HD combs, PS3 isn’t the cheapest Bluray in the market. And 3. your taking a leap of faith, when there are 2 other systems that can easily give you some more games. 360 willing to lose money to replace or fix your broken systen(which will happen) and the Wii just happen to be the only consoled out there that works well and works. If Sony is willing continue being jerks to their fan base, their consumers, their only friend in the video game industry, they will be the next Neo Geo, the next Turbographix, the next consoled left in the dust.

Nintendo’s Wii video game system (pronounced “we”) brings people of all ages and video game experience together to play. This simple yet ground breaking idea is expressed not only though the system’s evocative name, which is easily pronounced in a variety of languages, and suggests two players side by side, but also through its innovative list of features and extensive list of playable titles.
A Little Box With Plenty of Power
As with every console, much of the buzz surrounds the specs. The Wii boasts 512 MB of internal flash memory, two USB 2.0 ports, and a slot for SD memory expansion. The system’s technological heart — a processing chip developed with IBM and code-named “Broadway” and a graphics chipset from ATI code-named “Hollywood” — deliver stunning performance. And instead of a tray, Wii uses a single, self-loading media bay that plays both 12-centimeter optical discs used for the new system, as well as Nintendo GameCube discs. Nintendo Wii

PS3 vs. XBOX 360
First off, i have both systems now. We all know that the 360 came out in 2005. The launch lineup was not the best but it still was way better than the PS3’s. The funny thing at one point i hated Microsoft and the XBOX 1, until i played Halo. That game showed what Microsoft was capable of. I have been a loyal fan since. The 2 biggest issues with the PS3 is the price and the titles that are out. There really isnt that much to choose from. I love Metal Gear Solid but there are so many exclusive titles on the 360 that you cant go wrong. The PS3 will never and i mean never have a game as big as Halo 3 or Ninja Gaiden 2 which comes out sometime next year. If Sony was smart they would have made the system at a base price of $400. Then they should have waited to release a blu-ray player add-on just like the 360 and their HD DVD player. That would have made more people eager to buy the system. Honestly, the HD DVD and Blu-Ray are identical if you ask me. The only big difference would be your TV. A lot of people say the graphics are so much better on the PS3 than the 360. Unfortunately, they are sadly mistaken. The 360 has found a way to utilize the core processors within the system. That means they can isolate things so the graphics run smoothly. The PS3 is said to be a little bit more complex. If you compare the same games on both systems, the 360 has the edge and its the truth. Like i said i have both so i can argue for both. Its a shame that the once exclusive titles like GTA 4, Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4 are going to be on the 360. I am sure Sony isnt too happy about that. Sony could find that Metal Gear Solid 4 is heading towards the 360. Hey, it did happen with MGS 3 and XBOX had a better polished version of the game. I truly believe it comes down to preference and which system you can stay with. I personally would recommend the 360. But if you have been a Sony fan since Metal Gear 1, go with the PS3.

Super Mario Galaxy

Great gameplay, but needs story.
Lets get this out of the way-’Galaxy’ is the best platformer in years and I wholeheartedly recommend it for great family fun. ‘Galaxy’ has consistently fun and fresh game play that getting the stars will be a pleasure. The only problem here however, unlike the awesome Zelda, theres not much in terms of story. The peeps at Nintendo seem to have only focused on game play and just threw in some quick story accessible from the game’s “reading room”. Ten, twenty years ago this was fine because games weren’t art, but today’s great video games need more than pitch perfect game play which is what ‘Galaxy’ has at the very least.
Awesome game play, but forced ‘add-on’ story is not acceptable today in video games. ‘Galaxy’ is great fun, but thats it- no hilarious dialogue or much in the way for story. Nintendo has to focus more on story if they want to get the sales numbers it deserves(Halo).
Buy ‘Galaxy’ because its fun. If you want something more like a story you simply wont find it here which in this new day and age of video games is simply not enough. Step it up Nintendo!
Mario returns and takes his next adventure into space. Follow him as he travels from planet to planet bending the rules of gravity. Players experience perspective shifts as they run upside down through alien worlds. Meet challenges like surfing on a ray in an ocean in the clouds, rolling a ball through a treacherous garden, or floating in a bubble over a poisonous swamp. Control Mario with the Wii Remote and use the Nunchuk to perform his special moves. A special co-op function allows a second player to collect star bits for Mario or take care of enemies in his way. This title also includes opportunities to change Mario into a Boo or a bee.

Nintendo Wii Game System and Sports Bundle

Let’s get real. Let’s get physical. We’ve got a new way of playing video games. Nintendo’s Wii game system revolutionizes home gaming. While other game systems rely on button and stick controllers, the Wii nunchuk controller adds a physical component that uses your body movements as control. The Wii’s gyroscope controller takes users away from the traditional gamepad and make game control more intuitive. For instance, we’re used to pressing buttons in a certain sequence to cast a line in a fishing game, but on the Wii, expect to pull the controller back and then whip it forward in a real casting motion to get that line out. In a tennis game, you swing the racquet. In a golf game, you swing the club. They’re your actual movements transmitted through the motion sensitive controller.
Wii also has a classic controller available for those still into traditional games that require pad, sticks, and buttons. You can choose your own reality.
There’s a Wii Channel that invites you into a Wii communitity over the Internet. Share info, play games together, download games, and more. Customize your Wii experiences with the Mii channel. Insert your ’self’ into games by creating personal avatars. With its storage capabilities through its hard drive and SD card slot, the Wii is more than just a game player. It reflects and is about you. Get personal and have fun with Wii.
